Five missions. One simple routine. Safer choices that children can remember.
The D.O.G. — Dedicated Online Guardians is a story-led online safety programme created for children aged 5–7.
Across five engaging missions, children join Fizz, Seth and Pixel as they explore some of the online situations they are beginning to encounter in everyday life — from deciding whether something online is true, to sharing safely, protecting private information, navigating online games and knowing when it is time to step away from a screen.
At the heart of the programme is one simple routine:
PAUSE. THINK. Then choose the safest next step.
Rather than expecting young children to understand complicated online risks, The D.O.G. gives them practical language, memorable actions and plenty of opportunities to practise making safer choices with a trusted adult nearby.
Through stories, discussion, games, movement, role play and hands-on printable activities, children learn to CHECK, ASK, PROTECT, BLOCK & TELL and RESET depending on the situation they face.
Each programme includes the complete five-book D.O.G. story collection, the Complete Teacher Guide, ready-to-use printable resources, mission activities, take-home learning, assessment and progress materials, and everything needed to celebrate children completing their final mission and becoming a Dedicated Online Guardian.
The programme has been designed to be flexible enough for real classrooms. Deliver a complete mission, choose one activity alongside the story, work as a class, in a small group or adapt activities to suit the children you teach.
No complicated technology. No lengthy preparation. No fear-based online safety lessons.
Just thoughtful conversations, memorable stories and practical experiences that help children build the foundations for safer, more confident online decision-making.
What children explore: misinformation and checking what they see online; safe sharing and consent; passwords and personal information; online gaming and uncomfortable interactions; healthy screen habits and knowing when to reset.
And because online safety works best when children and adults use the same language, the programme also helps extend those conversations beyond the classroom and into family life.
Small steps. Big difference.
Safer children.
